about Dr. Takher
Dr. Takher is an adult, child, and forensic psychiatrist. He is the founder of Takher Forensic Consulting, PLLC, and the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
He is a graduate of Campbell University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at Western Michigan University. He then completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and his forensic psychiatry fellowship at Emory University.
Dr. Takher also attained his Master of Jurisprudence (M.J.) in Children's Law and Policy at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and has a strong passion for advocating for children’s rights.
He has participated in an extensive number of forensic evaluations, testifying as an expert witness, assessing competency, criminal responsibility, acute and long-term risk, conditional release management, and numerous civil cases in outpatient and community settings.
As an adult, child, and forensic psychiatrist, Dr. Takher has many areas of expertise, including inpatient, outpatient, correctional, consult liaison, emergency, and forensic psychiatry.
Dr. Takher is board-certified in adult and child & adolescent psychiatry and board-eligible in forensic psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
